Claire Shears, BSc [Hons]
Claire qualified as an Occupational Therapist from the University of Exeter in 1995 and is registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC). Claire is also a member of both The British Association of Occupational Therapists and College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Section Independent Practice.
Since qualifying, Claire has worked both in the NHS and independently. She has gained a wide range of experience working with clients who have physical or learning disabilities of all ages.
Her specialist interests include the assessment of a persons physical environment to increase independence, safety and quality of life, the assessment and suitability of specialist daily living equipment, and the assessment of a persons skills to enable them to participate as independently as possible in the activities which are important to them.
