Marian George, BA MA MBACP
Marian studied at the Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge for a BA degree in Sociology and Politics and an MA in Women's studies. In 1998 she completed a diploma in Counselling at The Huntingdonshire Regional College and in 2004 a certificate in supervision and mentoring skills. She has embarked on introductory training in Psychosexual Counselling.
In the past Marian has worked part-time with mental health service users and is currently taking referrals from two Employment Assistance Providers. She also works as a supervisor for other counsellors.
Marian draws on humanist, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural models to suit the needs of the patient. A key element of her work is helping both men and women to get in touch with their identity. She is a Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and works within their code of Ethics.
